I graduated from the Visual Studies Workshop with a MFA in Photography and Printmaking. I received my B.A. in photography from Empire State College. In 1980 I started teaching at Villa Maria College in Buffalo, New York where I was the head of the photography program. Prior to Villa I taught at the Alllofus Art Workshop in Rochester NY for two years. I left academia in 1990 and opened a photo studio in Buffalo NY. In 1995 I moved to Costa Rica and ran my studio there from 1996 till 2010. Upon moving back to the USA I returned to academia and taught photography at St Petersburg College. I retired from teaching in the spring of 2016 and am now concentrating on making Art again.
