Maria Bevilacqua

Maria Bevilacqua is a photographer whose work reflects her own life’s inspiration and challenges.  Her interest lies in the folding of her interior world into a complex personal history and her evolving understanding of landscape. Living and traveling in different parts of the world provides a dislocation from place. This isolation is necessary because her work is rational and self oriented which allows you to get visually lost in the residual haunting of her history. Her interest lies in exploiting the contradiction between what we know to be there and what we actually see. The mashing of landscape to mask and reveal what is below to surface; hiding what is secret or revealing what is hidden beneath. Evoking memory and emotion in this visual narrative where she and her subject become inseparable.

Bevilacqua received her BFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Drawing and Printmaking with a minor in Communications and is currently acquiring her MFA at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She is the recipient of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art Exhibition Award. Bevilacqua currently lives and works in Tampa, Florida where she is Director of Creative Marketing & Communications for MaintenX International as well as the owner of Maria Bevilacqua Photography.

Amy Martz

Tampa-based photographic artist, Amy Martz, is celebrated for showcasing her unique perspective of visual environments with images that provide a refreshingly unique and unexpected perspective, compelling people to experience even the mundane on a visceral level. By taking non-conventional viewpoints with a much more artistic approach, her work intrigues viewers to further explore the architecture, artisanship, and history of what makes urban landscapes unique and desirable.

Amy is the featured artist for Tampa’s only four-star hotel, Le Meridien, where her Best of the Bay award-winning “Tampa Discovery Moments” art collection is displayed throughout the hotel’s guest rooms, lobby, and the hotel brand’s award winning arrival artwork. In addition to Le Meridien, she has multiple pieces of art in the City of Tampa’s permanent artwork collection, as well as pieces of art in many commercial and private collections worldwide.
