July 19, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$150 – $170
Class will meet three consecutive Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm:
July 12, 2018
July 19, 2018
July 26, 2018
By knowing the basic rules of visual compositions, the freedom to explore outstanding and unusual images through alternative, relevant and calculated aesthetics will always lead to visual progress. Each subject matter, storytelling and visual explorations will surely lead to a renewed interest in how photography can transform the world around us, convey a message and inform the viewer of your personal creative voice. Student’s images as well as found photographs will be deciphered in terms of composition and techniques throughout the workshop. Pierre and Cathy are full-time artists and co-owners of a fine art photography gallery, as well as consultants to artists at all levels of experience. They both hold masters of fine art degrees and teach composition principles to photographers who want to expand their personal knowledge of visual art compositions.

About the Instructors:
Pierre and Cathy Dutertre

[P]ierre and Cathy Dutertre have been making photographs together for well over ten years as a husband and wife duo, from commercial projects and fine art ventures that reflect their varied individual and complex pasts.

They project their unique psyches with expressive and reflective imagery of the world and their presence within it, seeking answers to metaphysical questionings through a symbiotic creative collaboration.

Their images reflect a constant quest for spiritual, existential and philosophical pondering, a somber search at times for the essence of life and the world around them.

As career artists, Pierre and Cathy are constantly engaged in the many aspects of art, from producing new engaging work on a regular basis, to mentoring and consulting with emerging artists and judging competitions worldwide. They own and manage a fine art photography gallery representing photographic artists from Europe and the US.
