Though the mission of FMoPA is to exhibit the photographic works of local and well-recognized photographers, the museum does far more in terms of reaching the Tampa community.
Girl Scouts
Our collaboration with the Girl Scouts has allowed for both younger girls and older girls to earn their photography badge with our Digital Photographer and Capturing Greatness classes.
Photography classes
With an amazing team of instructors, FMoPA offers a variety of classes that allows for visitors and guests to expand their knowledge and skills within the realms of photography.
Little Kids, Big Minds
FMoPA is proud to work with a program that provides children with a solid educational experience when they visit the museum. Kids are exposed to visual literacy activities and different skills that help develop their mental growth.
United Photographic Artists Gallery
Our collaboration with Cathy and Pierre Dutertre has enabled the museum to provide visitors with free workshops, pop up shows for artists, and an annual exhibition for emerging artists at FMoPA through their gallery.
Forever Young
FMoPA invites senior members of the community to participate in its second annual Forever Young exhibition.
Members Show
FMoPA’s annual Members Show is an exciting opportunity for FMoPA to share original works by the gifted photographers in the museum’s membership with the Tampa Bay area.
Photography Benefit Sale
This exhibition gives local artist and museum members the chance to have their work on public display within the museum setting, the chance to sell their work, and a chance to be a part of the community at FMoPA.
