Marketing and Communications Intern

Marketing and Communications Interns will help develop strategic marketing plans, as well as post on all social media platforms, and create marketing materials to be posted online and distributed  to members and visitors. Interns considered for this position must be proficient in Adobe and WordPress. Please submit a sample of your writing in AP Style, preferably a press release or journal article. 

Exhibitions Intern

Exhibitions Interns will assist in the development and promotion of exhibitions at the museum. This will include posting calls for entries and exhibition openings on all of the museum’s social media accounts and community calendars. This job may also involve assisting with the installation or de-installation of exhibitions. Previous museum experience is a plus. Proficiency in Adobe and WordPress is a plus. Must be comfortable performing administrative tasks accurately and by a deadline. Must be pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Museum Studies, or equivalent. 

Education Intern

Education Interns will assist in setting up educational opportunities at the museum, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of our educational outreach programs, which include age appropriate docent tours for groups such as Little Kids, Big Minds and the Girl Scouts. Must be comfortable working with kids. Previous experience in any educational setting is a plus.

Events Intern

Events Interns will assist our Event Coordinator and Events Committee in carrying out events which take place at the museum. Events Interns will also aid in developing events for members socials, Fourth Fridays, and fundraisers. This position will require posting these events on all social media platforms and community calendars, so interns must be able to navigate between Dropbox and multiple email accounts. Events Interns are also responsible for assisting in the setup and tear down of tables and chairs, so you should be able to lift tables or chairs weighing 30 pounds. Events interns must have the availability to work events, which will require working during and after museum hours, any day of the week.
