Dr. David Dennard is a semi-retired nephrologist and an avid photographer. His online gallery, Fine Art for Good, is dedicated to making fine art affordable for a large audience and he donates the proceeds from his sales to local charities. His work has benefited the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia and a clinic for the uninsured, the DEO Clinic, in Dalton, Georgia.
Dr. Dennard has had solo and group exhibitions at the Creative Arts Guild and elsewhere in Dalton, Georgia. He has also been part of multiple group shows in galleries across the United States. He has work shown in the photography magazine, Don’t Take Pictures, chosen by the editor Kat Kiernan. His work is also in Professor Malde’s book on platinum and palladium printing, Platinotype: Making Photographs in Platinum and Palladium with the Contemporary Printing-out Process.
In 1993, Professor Pradip Malde introduced Dr. Dennard to Paul Caponigro’s photography and this initial encounter blossomed into a creative mentorship and partnership. Recently, Dr. Dennard had the privilege of spending time learning in Mr. Caponigro’s darkroom. Dr. Dennard’s childhood roots are in Temple Terrace and Clearwater where he continues to have friends and family.
