Winning photograph from the 2023 International Photography Competition

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 International Photography Competition. This year’s IPC is the Museum’s most successful to date, with FMoPA receiving an impressive 2,557 photographs submitted by 593 photographers from 59 different countries.

The winners will be featured in an exhibition at the Tampa International Airport from June 26 to August 25, 2024. Thank you to everyone who submitted photographs this year, and congratulations to all the winners!


Winners from each category will be featured in a group exhibition at TPA and receive prizes generously provided by VTB and other sponsors, including a $1000 prize for the Best in Competition.

The competition was judged by a panel of renowned photographers, including:

  • Jessica Jarl – Director of Global Exhibitions at Fotografiska International.

  • Elena Paraskeva – International Conceptual Photographer, Art Director and official ADOBE instructor.

  • Steven Benson – Curator at the Southeast Museum of Photography & Professional Photographer

  • Martha Asencio-Rhine – Director of Photography Features and Projects at the Tampa Bay Times

  • Hiromi Nakamura – Curator at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography

  • Kristen Roles – Photography Instructor at the University of Tampa & University of South Florida

  • Collier Brown – Photography Critic

  • Beate Cegielska – Director, Galleri Image
  • Eve Schillo – Associate Curator, Wallis Annenberg Photography Dept. Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
  • John Collins – Founder of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance
