Contemporary Chinese Photography

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is proud to present "Contemporary Chinese Photography" Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, May 9, 2009.

Some of the most exciting art produced today is emerging from China, generated in part by the huge social and economic upheavals taking place in the country during the past few decades. FMOPA will be exhibiting works from local collections as well as from international dealers.

The exhibition includes the work of Chen Jiagang, Ma Liuming, Zhang Huan, Rong Rong and others. Many of them focus on the destruction of China’s big cities, and on the quandary of people caught between past ways of life and the country’s breathtaking plunge into the 21st century.
